Ohman, if you think you have problems with Technology - try living through one day of Technology fail from my day yesterday. (And yesterday was the last day of november - go figure).

So now, I shall present to you....
TOP FIVE: TECHNOLOGY FAILS OF YESTERDAY.
and how I overcame them.

1. The TV Remote (one of those 'universal remotes')

I was just listening to the music and the iPod died. Okay, the battery died no big deal

I just turned the iPod on again because it usually still have 5 minutes worth of playing time left.

But what happens? NOTHING....and then the White Apple Logo of Death came on. Oh. Shit....being an iPod

Touch is stupid because there is no simple 'reset' button. After minutes of fury. It finally decided to come up

With the charging logo.

5. And taking the win....the case of the dead Nintendo Button.

This freaked me out big time. A couple of months ago, a friend of mine accidentally spilt

Lift + on it and the buttons became sticky but nothing damaging happened.

Last night I was trying to use Pictochat - but the L button didn't work - I went to bed that night disapointed.

This morning, after cleaning the button like hell - I decided to blow on it to see if it was dust and pressing the

Button to death. It now works. I win.

So everyone, that is my Top 5 for today.

The Formal is coming up soon....I'll tell you about that deliema another day.
Till then, keep safe.

At school again updating. Should really stop doing this.

Do you ever get those feelings when yuo really want to smash glass or something really breakable?

Oooh yeah. Not particularly the best feeling to get while at school. I could really punch this computer screen for being a piece of crap right now.

And as I say - The weather suits my mood.
It's all grey and foggy - meaning, annoyed and it's either going to get better or worse.
Feck.

Certain people pissed me off in teh past week.
Like. Seriously.
One of them happens to be in the room next door playing cards - so here I am friendless in this damn cold computer room ranting - but oh no, I don't appear to be like that on the outside, infact I look quite happy even though i'm really pissed off.

In other news, I found an awesome laptop - 4gb something with a 350gb harddrive I think.
Something like that - it's a Toshiba as well which makes me extremely happy.

Lita.

Today was gonna be the day...

Thanksgiving
So I'm in the computer room now.

After spending my last friday duty in the library ever - Fiona had to rub it in by saying that it was our last FRIDAY AT SCHOOL ever.
= *cue tears*

Man. It feels so weird - in a "I'm gonna miss this classroom, Remember when this happened etc." It's not particularly awesome.

We had our Librarian's Tea Party yesterday and thank gosh I didn't cry for that.
I did a speech that went along something like;
"I know I maybe the loudest, most rule breaking librarian ever in this school but Thank you so much."

Yup. Not much a speech. more of a sentence.

I would write much longer, but I fear that these School Computers will cut off the rest of my post like the other one when I did the top 10 things in the school library.

Ciao, Lita.

It's that time again.

You know you have serious problems when you get sad at the thought of leaving school. Literally.

So in three days, I officially finish my schooling era and move onto university. It's supposed to be scary? Yes. It's supposed to be daunting - most likely. It's going to be sad. 100% True.

There are a couple of people that I know that are going to be bawling their eyes out on the last day - me included.

Hm. Awkward situations.

More tonight. I'm pouting at school. Not a good thing. Not. A. Good. Thing.

Okay, so that last post failed on a epic scale.

The School computers really do suck.

Anyway, I'll update this later.

In Simple terms.

Updating at school.

And because school sucks - I can't tell if the formatting on this is right or not - so if it looks funky - thats's probably why.

So I haven't updated in a while - probably because I was either too lazy or I just couldn't be bothered to update.

To be honest, nothing much really has happened lately.

I joined a forum called 'Hogwarts New Zealand' and I'm thorougly addicted to that - could also be another factor as to why I haven't updated in so long.

---

So right now, I'm in the school library and i'm taking advantage of how empty this library is by updating this. Because "If you update your journal/diary at school - you are a freak." Or thats how the feeling goes around here.

I would do a top 5, but...the formatting.
Acck, oh well. We can go without formatting today.
So now...I present to you, the Top 5: ANTI-FORMATTED EDITION!

Top 10....Things at teh school library.

Exams.

Adorable Bunny
Its 9.57 and I'm wondering why the hell I am still awake.

I should be sleeping, I have EXAMS tomorrow. I have TWO exams tomorrow.
English and Statistics.

For English, I have 8 reports to do >.<
4 novels, 2 Oral texts (A song & a speech) and 2 Movies.
All Eight reports must relate to the theme of love & relationships (big. friggen. deal.)
So, for all you curious cupcakes out there - here is my choices:

Movies::
-Titanic
-Once Were Warriors

Novels::
-Boy meets Boy
-Twilight
-Bridget Jone's Diary
-My Sister's Keeper

Oral Texts::
-Prince Harry's Eulogy speech for Diana (2007)
-Juliet by Emilie Autumn.

For Statistics, I can pretty much say - I am terrified.
my batteries died just now, so I'm running around the house with a cordless keyboard in my hand looking for batteries.

...

I have found batteries, stole some from the TV remote and the cordless headphones.
No one knows I've taken them. Tomorrow - they'll won't be able to turn on the T V ahahaha!

Ahhghg.
I'm so tired.
Bed.

OH MY GOSH.

I'm at my ends at the moment >.<
There's these two people at my school. who really really gets onto my nerves >.<

Their the type of people who plays up things when they don't need to be addressed.
They act as if the world revolves around them.
One of them doesn't appreciate people helping her (she pretty much said "GO AWAY" after I tried helping her when SHE ASKED FOR HELP)

I just want to tear my hair out, I know my other friend's can *not* take their attitudes right now.

So, I've been back playing Pokemon Platinum lately, I discovered that my friend, Amari, has a  NDS so we have pokemon battles during choir practices. W: 0  | L: 1
Yes. I lost my first match. Can't really say much as I still haven't beaten the Elite Four - I am so lazy >.>

So, its International Languages Week at my school and the 'international activity' for today was....KARAOKE.
Oh boy - but I didn't go so don't ask me.

Well, in two weeks time - Dunedin will be treated to 22 top secondary school choirs in New Zealand.
Other wise known as....The Big Sing Chorale
(akainhighschools: NATIONAL COMPETITIONS.)

A few days ago, I mentioned that my choir is a guest choir. So yeah.
we're part of that.

Yay-yah!~♥

Eugh okay...so what else had happen...oh yeah, I gave in an application form at the local supermarket for a job.
I have no idea whether I'm gonna regret it, or not - who knows. I guess I'll be happy if I got a job though...rely less on the parents and actually have money to spend on crap I want than spending parents money and feeling bad for spending money on useless crap ^-^;;

Speaking of useless crap...

Top 5: Things that *I* waste my money on

Rules: Feel guilty about the amount of money spent on useless items.

Blog #2: Top 5, Birthdays and whatnot.

  • Aug. 17th, 2009 at 6:02 PM
Thanksgiving
Okay, back again!

Sticking with the theme of the Primary School, I introduce you

Top 5: Things that I miss doing while I was a kid
Rules: There are no rules. Let my Imagination be FREE =P
Note: These aren't in order btw - maybe I should have clarified that.

1. Dressing up
(then again....)

2. Tea Parties
(Well, theres a revival going on at the moment)

3. Not having a care in the world
(aka. There was no such thing as problems because we would just laugh the world away)

4.Sandcastles
(...again...)

5.Lotsa and lotsa friends
(Is it just me, or does anyone else notice that their friendship group seem to shrink?)

Ahh. So its my brother's birthday coming up...I have no idea how old he's turning but he's going to be twenty-something-a-rather (Yeah, I know its shocking - but I don't talk to him often 'coz hes. SO.DAMN.BUSY.)

I know that he likes Transformers (the old kind), Comics and British Comedy.
And what do you know? I walked into K-Mart and found an awesome massive Bumblebee toy (Bumblebee...a in the Yellow Car on Transformers)...its pretty massive, and it folds transforms into a car and then it can transform back into the human guy...so I might end up getting him that, even though the toy is designed for like 6 year olds - but he likes bumblebee and its going to cost me $180...so yeah.

Best. Present. to. get. a. twenty.year.old.something.

Call me the worst present giver ever..
I call it sisterly love.

----

So the biggest #1 headline in NZ news at the moment?
I give you a second to think about it.
...nope. not a crash...try again.
nope...no fatal incidents...try again.
NO! Its definitely not Valarie Villi beating her own record (although, good on her!)

...its...

CADBURY TO DISCONTINUE PALM OIL IN CHOCOLATE AND RESORT BACK INTO COCOA BUTTER.

Yes, that was the headline.
I'll keep my views away, to save...uh...whats the word....disagreements.

Thats about it I think...oh yeah, those of you who live in NZ...Meadow Fresh Thick and Creamy Vanilla Yoghurt Range is the best...just...putting that out there (and no, I'm not a shameless promoter....honestly, I'm not.)

Hi!

Well, good news guys - I got my Camera back <3
And on it are a few photos from my primary school (=

I'll LJ Cut them as soon as my computer decides to un-freeze its self. yeah.

So yeah, I got my Camera back - its good and I can not panic about such stupid things anymore!

What else happened today...hmm, oh yes! Happy International Languages Week - according to my school. Guten Tag, Talofa Lava, Kia Ora, Hola, bonjour....and thats about as far as my languages go.
(actually, I kinda know more - but I'm too lazy to write them)

Watched more In My Father's Den for english today.
You know, You probably would have spotted me complaining how rediculiously boring this movie is but I only doubted it at first because I didn't understand that this was a flashback film.
Infact, after you actually analyze the film itself - then you'd understand the complexity of it and how wonderous and fantastic the movie is - the plot and the storyline are perfectly crafted and my gosh - there are TONS of amazing quotes in that movie.

"I'd rather be a no-one somewhere, than a someone nowhere."
--Celia

Okay, thats about it. Enjoy the LJ cut photos.
I had a fantastic time at that place and its great to know that I'll always be welcomed at the school.

Total love to the guys out there, this lj post is for you.

A wedding, a formal and a lost camera

Okay, here is another iPod written entry!
And for that reason we have no Top 5; but you'll survive ;)

::A WEDDING:: (formatting :O)

Haha, I.AM.NOT.GETTING.MARRIED.
Just putting it out there for you gullible fools.
However, One of my really good friends from High School is
Getting married around October next year, which is pretty exciting.
And you wanna know what the coolest thing is
--She asked me to be one if her bridesmaid.

It's cool stuff, but it'll kinda suck 'coz she's moving to Auckland afterwards,
But her fiancée is a great guy, so I'm really happy for the both of them.

::A FORMAL::

I don't even know why I'm even talking about this because the schools 'graduation ball'
Isn't till December, but heck - I guess I'm just excited a out it =P

::A LOST CAMERA::
Yes, I'm still going on about this.

I just hope some kid didn't take it or else it'll make me thoroughly upset.
It's my third camera and I really don't want to go out for a fourth one.
(gave first camera to brother, won the second camera but it got robbed while I was at choir competions In christchurch, so I got it replaced)

I Hope to dear god it's still there or else I would cry. Seriously.

Remember kids, remember where you put your stuff and double check if you still have them by the end if the day <-- that's good advice RIGHT.THERE.

Stuff::

  • Aug. 15th, 2009 at 3:24 PM
Thanksgiving
Okay, Welcome to another slightly boring Livejournal entry - but hey. Don't complain.

On Wednesday - Someone stole my pencil case.
Yes. who the hell will steal someones pencil case, but thats probably what you get for being in an all girls' school.
- everyone obsesses over stationary.

Infact, a friend of mine asked me;
"Why do girls' obsess over stationary?"
The answer to that question is an affirmative: "I don't know"

The reason why *I* obsess over stationary is the fact its just me a way of how I can flaunt my personality.
I like colorful and bold stationary - something that makes a statement, I'll show you a few stuff, so you get what I mean...
So yeah, you get the idea, all the examples I used is from Smiggle so yeah.

As you can tell, I like bright and colorful things, I also like vintage stuff too (=

Moving on from stationary, we have the Top 5 of today!

Top 5: Websites that I visit most often.

Rules: There are no rules, but I must link to respective site.

1. Twitter
(yup. the place where everything is.)

2. Youtube
(although, it becomes an instant number one when I have broadband.)

3.
Facebook

4. Gmail

5. Keepvid
(I'm blaming the school for this one.)

Post later, I'm currently playing Scrabble online and its making my computer lag xD
(its going to be addictive - I tell you.)

Okay, I'm writin' this on the ipod touch - so this blog will have no formatting whatsoever and there will be numerous amounts of spelling mistakes due to the crappiness of the tiny keyboard.

So what has been happening over the past two hours since the last update?
Good question. Well, for starters I had the "You need to lose weight"/"You used to look so skinny when you were younger but now your not" chat/lecture from a certain someone.
So, there goes all the self-confidence (nothing new).

Ummm, wow - you know, being In year 13 (7th form) has it's perks,
Everyone is chattin' and listening to the music of the old days - So there is a lot of
S Club 7, Spice Girls and the like goin' around the school at the moment,
So it's pretty cool.

Nextly, I have been designing some invitations for the Schools'
Librarian Lunch Party - This year the theme is Victorian Tea Party.
And I'm so proud of it XP

Thumbs hurting now - Till next time;;"

Oh my.
Oh my.
Oh my.

How the hell can one person be Panicking over a Camera (thats me.)
Okay long story short - It was my last day of Work experience and I forgot my camera.

Okay - you'll all go "Thats cool, just go back and pick it up"

a) I just realized it  NOW
b) It has some photos that would be pretty inappropriate to little 5 year olds
(If they are smart enough to find the 'review' button - it has pictures of drunken people....)
c) It contains photos for my Computing Assessment.

GARHAODSJFHASHFJKASDHFLASJDFHASFDD *panicpanicpanicpanic*

Breathe Breathe. Breathe. Breathe.

Ten Facts you probably didn't know about me::
Unless you already know me - then this would be useless.

  1. My name is actually Melita - its really another version of Melissa, and it also means Honeybee (= Ain't it Cute? ^-^
  2. Whats up with Canada? I don't know - but I would really love to go there (NO. not because of the damn moose....wasn't I suppose to tell you about the moose song?....) but its cool, I wanna go to Torronto and Vancouver.
  3. Whose Line is it Anyway? No idea.
  4. My favorite color is Purple - full stop, theres no argument about that.
  5. I do not and never have had a specific favorite song - mainly because my music tastes change everyday. Which is why my 'theme song' entry in the school's yearbook would be completely and utterly wrong by the time I receive the year book (I chose 'Willow' by Emilie Autumn) even though its ONE of my favorite songs.
  6. Marmite over Vegemite (as long as its not spread to thick.)
  7. I bake not cook - which would make me the most un-successful housewife.
  8. I had dreams to be an actress - it all fell through after being in a Moa suit at the Museum for 3 hours going along the lines of: "I AM A MOA!....I AM NOW EXTINCT BECAUSE THE NEIGHBOURING VILLIAGES CHASED ME AND BURNED DOWN MY ENVIRONMENT. THEY KILLED US, THEY ATE US. AND NOW WE ARE EXTINCT"....*sigh*...regretting giving up that dream.
  9. One of my best friend, [info]tomoyan and I are going over to the states/canada at some point in our lives ONLY  and I mean ONLY because we want to see the An evening with Colin Mochrie & Brad Sherwood show. Seriously, we live for Improv - call us sad, we call it fan dedication. Huzzah. Sucky Livin' in NZ.
  10. I have no motivation for school in the current timeframe.

And now! I present to you a new feature of my blog! The Top 5 of whateverrrr.

Top 5: Most played tunes on my iTunes y'all.

Rules: I am not aloud to change anything just so I can be 'cool'.

1. Pokerface - Lady Gaga
(was I expecting this? - No I did not.)
2. The way that we live - Betty
(also known as the 'L word theme')
(It was catchhyyy okay?)
3. Just Dance - Lady Gaga
('gonna be okay! do do do do do!')
4. Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) - Lady Gaga
(...yup.)
5. Opheliac - Emilie Autumn
(Epic. of all epicness.)

Thats it! Enjoy. I'ma watch a Rys Darby on Teeveee naao.

Smiggle Stationary!
[or Pretty Stationary in general]

I SWEAR if I had everything I ever wanted.
THIS WOULD BE THE ABSOLUTE THING I WOULD KEEP WANTING.

I have this really un-healthy obsession with Stationary - honestly,
I do *not* know why. Maybe because they all come in pretty colors and I'm a artist (more of a scribbler actually) and afkjaskldfhlkasjdfhka STATIONARY.

Call me crazy, just because I freakin' love stationary, does not mean I actually own alot. I only use 4 pens at school xD

(Blue Pen, Black Pen, Red Pen, Pencil)
Hell yeah.

Oh god, Stationary. Heavenly Sweet Stationary.

I swear one day, someone will go to me and say:

"Would you shut the f*** up about stationary! Why do you go on and on and on! I can understand a person obsessing about chocolate but NOT stationary."
and I will reply:
"At least its better than obsessing about Chocolate. No calories, No Guilt. Easy."

Okay, So I'm gonna go now before I get any comments such as the one above.

Today is Monday the 3rd of June @ 7.57PM

  • Aug. 3rd, 2009 at 7:54 PM
Thanksgiving
Dear: Poor Poor Person who is deluded enough to read this long post.

Hi.
I cannot be bothered to do any formatting what so ever.

Okay, so what can I write about..hm.
Oh yes - today is the most boring-est day ever.

In English, we are studying 'In my father's den'.
It has got to be the most worst movie to watch in the afternoon (2.30pm precisely.) I mean...If I watched this morning, I would probably have a different opinion - but in the afternoon?
Everyone was slouching all over the desks, with the curtains closed and lights off (except for the occasional light from the odd person bringing their cellphones out to txt - tsk tsk =P).
I must say, I have no idea what the story is about - the only main plot point I ever came out from that hour of watching was that the main guy was tracing back his memories from his youth and discovered his daughter. Full stop, new line.

Hi.
I am feeling really sick right now (Not of the swine kind.)
I am totally regretting drinking that Lime fizzy...and eating that extra piece of bread. God, what is wrong with me?
Full stop, New paragraph.

Hi.
I do nothing but rant.
Ah. crap damnit. Maybe I should just leave and do something else.
Full stop, new line, capital letter.

SO! Amy's 18th birthday party coming up! :D
Its going to be so cool and....big?
I'm giving her a scrapbook full of photos.
Might bake her chococlate brownies if time permitting on Saturday.
And for those of the fashion kind (like Amy), no idea what I'm wearing.
Its either black jeans and boots with some top that I can find or a black and white dress. God, help me with the fashion front...maybe I'll get Becky's opinion.

Speaking of Becky, I felt like I've made new friends this year (not necessarily close friends like Melissa and them group) - and all I have to do is thank the freakin' Gateway Class. Its only about 10 (give or take a few - depends who shows up) so we're pretty much a tight bunch of people.
Who...likes to procrastinate and talk about the god damn parking outside of school...and Janines 18th and the Graduation Ball...and how Kath has an obsession with Cerial (seriously...Three of us turned up at school today with Cerial - thats Kath, Becky and I....Cerial = Food of the gods.
Btw, Crunchy Nut Cornflakes ftw.)

And I've been passing all my Stats assesments so far - for those of you inclined to know...I think its a god given legend that I was given two stats classes...one to actually learn in and the other to procrastinate.
Becky has been educating me all about McDonald's - did you know that 75 Hamburgers are sold every second? Geez, imagine what it'll be like with Cheeseburgers.

Been watching the UK version of Whose Line is it Anyway - even though I prefer the US version by far, the UK version isn't actually that bad and its actually a 'refreshing' change I might add - Tony Slattery is one very funny person =P I swear I remember watching this version when I was younger. Haha. Thats probably where I got my crap sense of humor from.

Also, for those of you who are following Melissa & I's Youtube account - we would have posted one two weeks ago when we actually went into town and watched Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince but Melissa forgot the camera and my camera ran out of batteries - next time, we'll be baking NZ styled cupcakes. hell yeah bro.

Anything else to say in this extremely long LJ thats longer than usual?
No. I don't think so. I better end it here before I can think of anything else to write.

Seeya,
Rainbow x
